suck it up or spell it out ?

ever regretted saying what you think and wish you just zipped those lips up?
i wonder if it was easier all those times you got sensitive, irritated and just let it slide or if it was worth the 4 second feeling of sticking up for yourself?
There are consequences of everything we say or do. Some intentional and some not so much. my mom told me to always not expect anything from anyone.. I guess then you'll always be pleasantly surprised. If you stuck to that idea, it would be hard to be hurt and disappointed by others.

I found this online and thought it summed it up pretty well..

First, ask yourself if the problem is worth arguing about. Most of the time, people argue over little things that don’t really matter. Once you realize how silly the argument is, it is usually fairly easy to say, “Hey, this is silly. It doesn’t really matter, does it?” Then, you call a truce, compromise, and forget about it.

What was that word – compromise? Yep, if each of you gives in a little, you should both be reasonably happy. But, if one or both of you stubbornly stands firm, you just might damage your relationship.

The truth is, friends or couples argue because they care about each other. They care about each other’s ideas, opinions, and desires. So, when they disagree, they are likely to try to change the other’s mind because they really want to agree with each other, and it hurts when they don’t agree. Unfortunately, it also hurts when they argue, so they really need to follow the advice given above.

So after reading that... kinda makes you wish you sucked it up.

marriage lessons I've learnt so far

Movie Sweethome Alabama sums it up perfectly when

Reese is asked " Why do you want to marry me?" and she responds " So I can kiss you whenever I want".

That's gotta be one of the most awesome aspects of marriage. The endless companionship, laughter and ability to kiss'em whenever you want!

I may have married young. But I was VERY lucky to marry right.

I've learnt a lot in my close to 2 years of being hitched.

1. share everything
2. talking things through without Drama actually works. who would have thought? I was never one for drama. but i was always one to keep everything in. which can be just as deadly. so maybe my way wasn't always the high way?

4. Everyone needs to feel appreciated, complimented and given 'baby love'. never criticize.never demand. always suggest.
5. Money. just hope one of you makes enough of it. or you're spending habits are the same.
6. it helps when you share a common understanding of the place family and religion has in both 7. know each others expectations.
the list goes on. But I gave you 7 to start you off :)
